One Wish 2
January 2nd, 2009 | by emontero |“I don’t get it!”, exclaimed the former zero bit. “I changed from zero to one and I’m still me. Where’s the coveted sense of power, meaning and pride that supposedly surrounds the ones?!”
The one bit pursed his mouth in a self-satisfied smirk. Subsequently, he said:
“You are missing the point, mate. You are looking for self-affirmation in the wrong place. There’s not much we as bits can do alone. It is only when we are clustered together that our true purpose is revealed. It doesn’t matter if you are one or zero. That alone does not define who you really are. Unity, as it is often the case, is the only road to real enlightenment.”
It was only then that our former zero bit could finally see the frivolousness of his silly quandary.
“Ah, together…”, he whispered while he held his chin up, as if everything became all of the sudden abundantly clear.
