One Wish
December 23rd, 2008 | by emontero |Once upon a time, in the ethereal realm known as cyberspace, there was a little bit sitting alone in its ominous off state. “Being zero really sucks; I truly wish I could be more!”, howled the downhearted bit. The exclamation was overheard by a peripatetic one bit. “Why so gloomy, mate?”, interjected the new onlooker.
The zero bit glanced at the passerby while showcasing a perfect frown of disapproval. “You wouldn’t understand, one-y. You represent truth, power and value. How can you comprehend the falseness, vapidity and utter lack of usefulness intrinsic to the likes of my kind?”, said the dispirited zero bit.
The kindhearted one bit replied with the least expected statement of them all:
“Come with me and you’ll be one; we’d simply do some OR time!”.
