We’ve all been there

Did I strike a chord? I kind of miss those days. The days when my manager used to walk into my cube just to “politely” remind me that there are 2 P1s (P1 literally means Priority 1, and it’s just the fancy name we had for glaring omissions of both developers and testers that could cost everyone their jobs bugs) in Production (i.e. servers where paying customers conduct their business operations), and that everyone in the company, all the way up to the CIO, was clamoring for a solution or repercussions would ensue.
Ok, maybe I don’t miss those days at all. ![]()

My experiences in that company were similar except for one little difference:
The bugs staring at the developers faces, and they refused to acknowledge the bugs existence.
But aside from that, I agree we were treated like screaming toddlers, and we acted as such a few times.
